Every few years we are told to go vote for the new EU parliament, then we get 5 more years of nothing, just more neoliberalism. The EU is gridlocked by design, so it can endlessly perpetuate the same status quo of haves and have nots.
Many leftists seeing the way things are have become euroskeptics, but here at Unblock Europe we want a new direction for the left, we know our countries are easy prey if isolated, the only way forward is by changing the EU!
We are leftist federalists
From socialists to anarchists, we all want a Europe that is no longer locked into a single path, of capitalism and neoliberalism. We want our people to be free to experiment with new economic models, and we know many do but have no voice, having a voice costs money! No one makes it far without billionaire backers in this “democracy”, we must put democracy above capital!
The road ahead is treacherous, the only democratically elected body in the EU, the parliament, is useless, the treaties need every member to agree to change, lobbying is somehow legal and normalised, our leaders are cutting shady deals with billionaires behind closed doors. Is reform even possible? Maybe, maybe not, we are ready to try everything we can to see something change.
What we want
- The freedom to choose our economies. All the way from anarchy to command economies.
- The abolition of lobbying, bribery and influence trafficking. We must not let capital distort our democracy in any way shape or form.
- Strong international cooperation and unity, one army, one government, no borders between us.
- The end of nationalism, which we see as a tool of the rich to divide and conquer us.
If you are outside of Europe, take our example, unite with your neighbours to fight off the influence of our imperialist capitalists while we try to fight them at home, one day the whole world could be united!
